What Worship Means to Me

What is worship to you?

If you read my first blog post, you’ll get a vague glimpse into my recent choice to truly be a Christian, and knowledge that I’ve spent the entirety of my life in the church without, in my own admittance, having a very real heart for God. During all of that time though, I had Christian influences around me, and a significant one of those being my father, who my entire life was a worship leader and is still currently a worship team member.

While I myself am not musically gifted, it has always been something I appreciate, enjoy, and felt I knew the most about. Again, I’m no theologian or certified member of ministry, but I do believe our ability to sing to God and enter His presence through corporate and personal worship is something that is very important as a church, and for our personal walks with God. It says in Psalm 29:2, “Give unto the Lord, the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.”

In all honesty, I have a horrendous singing voice. However, that won’t stop my spirit from singing out to Him, and my mind from dwelling on praising the Father, the Son, and the Spirit… Three in one.

Here is a list of some of my favorite praise and worship songs (mixed in no particular order)…
