“For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12

I very much believe in the spirit realm, and that there are powers that rage back and forth in the same sense that humans rage and war with each other, perhaps though, even on a more grand and explosive scale. In my lifetime (born in 1981), I have seen a great many changes. My generation witnessed the end of the Cold War and the dissolution of the Soviet Union, we witnessed the emergence of the internet as a mainstream staple in American homes, we witnessed the emergence of the 24/7 news cycle and how it morphed into “opinion supported bias”, and we’ve witnessed the normality of sexual immorality in our culture, schools, and even our churches.

Most concerning though, is in the last twenty or so years, witnessing the vilification of masculinity. This is not to say that I don’t support women. Women were created by God for very special and meaningful purpose, and without such a beautifully designed role, the role of men would be void. This is exactly why God created women, to be a perfect pairing and relation to men. For at our best as men, we still lack perfection and an ability to procreate. Likewise, even at the best of women, they also lack perfection and an ability yo procreate without men. In this way, science supports God’s perfect, intelligent design. However, there is a strong and growing culture that seeks to vilify men in an attempt to pervert what God created.

In the last couple days, those with Apple iPhones may have noticed a new “emoji”. This is just another example of their perversion of man, and another twisted spiritual attack on God’s intelligent design. The emoji is that of a man, holding his “pregnant” belly, in the same way they had previously only had the female version of such, because well… science. Now a certain segment of the population who seeks to continually normalize sexual immorality is defying even the basics of human biology in an effort push their agenda. What especially bothers me about this is not just the vilification of masculinity but the outright damage this does to the beauty of why women were created. Women were not created to fetch men drinks, make men sandwiches, or to solely cook and clean. Women were blessed by God to be mothers and nurturers to children and be a perfect companion to men in order to raise families and populate the earth. That role was NEVER intended to man, and this perversion of science has only one purpose… to further divide and destroy humanity – a goal Satan has held since his fall from God’s grace.

For these reasons, God calls us (men and women) to put on the full armor of God to fight against such things (Ephesians 6:10-18). Living in a fallen and sinful world is a continuous battle, but one that we know through Christ is a war we can and will win. Perseverance in prayer, worship, guarding our hearts, our minds and our tongues being of utmost importance.

Remember Romans 12:2!!

And be not fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
