“But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.” – James 1:22
This verse is a fantastic reminder of the status of my heart. For where my heart’s desires are, there is where I will spend my time and efforts doing what will bring about my desired result. To that extent, Lord, please focus my heart to desire you in all my ways and for all my days.

Yeah, be careful with theology proper, though! A friend used to tell me that he read in “Hezekiah 4:12” that “All theologians will have their place in the lake of fire!” 😂
Seriously, when our head knowledge exceeds our heart and life knowledge, we run major risks of getting puffed up. ALWAYS remember, He is God and we are not! 😊
Haha! Absolutely! I believe it could be a healthy balance of heart, life and head knowledge. I’m definitely not a scholar nor would I consider myself much of a student. I do know, that I need to know a little more, as most of my Bible knowledge consist of Sunday school level knowledge.
I’m also quite thankful for you and others that give me wisdom as I go!
