For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. – Hebrews 2:18

What a great gift this is. Our Father in heaven knew and knows the temptations we suffer, yet by giving His son, and by giving Him in flesh and blood, He gives us salvation through that sacrifice, but He also gives us assistance in spiritual battles with temptations.

Do not rely on your own ability to fight off temptations. Go to the One who knows them, conquered them, and wants to help us.
