Today’s Scripture (6/29/2022)

In this you greatly rejoice, even though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been distressed by various trials, so that the proof of your faith, being more precious than gold which perishes though tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ; and though you have not seen Him, you love Him, and though you do not see Him now, but believe in Him, you greatly rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, obtaining as the outcome of your faith, the salvation of your souls.
‭‭- 1 Peter‬ ‭1:6-9‭

“Hungry” (MercyMe)

With joy inexpressible!!!

Inexpressible. It’s an interesting concept, considering as humans that we attempt to express everything we can. We have songs, dances, art, smiles, frowns, hand signals, poems, blogs, etc. None of that though, has the ability to capture the joy of the relationship we obtain with our Savior and the gift of redemption and true life.

I know there will always be trials, hardships, mistakes made, but I know the difference of living a life longing for God, understanding forgiveness and grace… seeking the heart of God, and loving my Savior, because I understand a life of turning my back on God, sin, and moral destruction. Life obeying God is a much better way!

I want the proof of my faith to be what sets me apart. I want the proof of my faith to be the fruit of the Spirit that others around me see, want, and come to know God.
