Today’s Scripture (7/7/2022)

Therefore When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And He bowed His head and gave up His spirit. – John 19:30

When I think of what ultimate righteousness is, it is the divine ability to take on the sins of the world, the sins of all of us, the sins of our parents, siblings, friends, those who have or seek to wrong us, and by that divine sacrifice, grant each and every one of us the opportunity to be forgiven and spend eternity in the presence of that same righteousness. How incredibly amazing is that?!

“It is finished!”

Those three words represent the greatest gift mankind has ever or will ever know.

Those three words were the culmination of Jesus’ ministry, and the fulfillment of thousands of years of prophecy.

Those three words are what give me hope for a future, ease my anxieties, and knowledge that I am loved by God.

You. Are loved by God. God finished the work. God created each and every one of us for purpose. He created us because He loves us, and that love has no end.

That is the righteousness of God, the love of God, and the joy that was before Him.
